Stefan e Matteo "i Mattaioni"

Stefan and Matteo are good friends and in 2020 they started I Mattaioni, a new project to interpreted Chianti area wines differently.

Stefan is a winemaker; his family has always been a farm producing wine and olive oil. Matteo is a restaurant manager and a wine lover that enjoys telling stories about wine and winemakers. They both believe that natural wine is the way of the future and want to create more dynamic and characteristic wines from the renowned but often overrated Chianti area where they're from.

Their focus is enhancing the unique qualities of Gambassi Terme, which boasts rich and saline soil. The result? It is easy to drink, light, and refreshing wine. Their vineyards are located 450 meters above sea level in an uncontaminated hill. While Stefan manages the vineyard and cellar, Matteo takes care of everything else and also lends a hand in the vineyard.

You should try Nimo if you want a really nice white wine, fresh fruity, perfect alone as Aperitif or with Pasta, charcuterie, fish and vegetable and ethnic food.
